5 months

Well, this post is long overdue, but I'd thought I'd share what my chunky monkey is up to lately. He has always been a pretty little guy...until lately. He now has those cute little rolls right at his wrists, and the rolls you have to be especially careful to clean in during bath time be it his thighs or chins. He loves to laugh and make funny noises. He loves to slobber and chew on my fingers. He loves to eat and eat and eat. I just can't get enough of him!
At 5 months:
  • Drinks 6 oz every 3 hours
  • His first solid food was avocado. Liked it but didn't love it. It made for some pretty good faces. We just switched to butternut squash, which he really digs. He gets a serving before his noon bottle, and we give him cereal every evening before his 6 o'clock bottle.
  • Wears a size 2/3 diaper...the 2's are getting snug.
  • Sleeps from about 8:30 to 6:00am.
  • Wears mainly 6 month clothing. Can still fit in some of the 3-6 months.
  • Loves to turn his head from side to side. You would think he would get dizzy, but seems to really enjoy himself.
  • Still loves to look at himself in the mirror.
  • Always has a toy in his mouth.
  • Still lets me rock him to sleep at night, which I LOVE.
  • Weighed 17.5 lbs when I had him on the scale last weekend.
  • Rolls from back to front, but rarely the other way. Still doesn't enjoy tummy time and he lets you know about it!
  • Loves to hold your fingers and stand.
  • Everyone always comments on how much he looks like his daddy!

This is my new favorite picture of Gunnar. I played a little with the color after it was taken so it's not SOTC ( straight out of the camera). Gosh, I love this little man!
